Nurture your little one’s love of learning, creativity & music. Preschool at Joyful Sounds is like no other preschool program around. With a small class size (we’re all about each child shining bright), and a Kindermusik Educator leading the charge, each day is filled with music, joy and FUN!
Children must be fully potty trained to attend our half day preschool program. Program runs Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9-11:30am, September to June and includes our award-winning Kindermusik curricula as the foundation for the program.
Children will be immersed in music, crafts, language & literacy work and loads of movement. New themes every month, celebrating holidays, seasons, and so much more. This is preschool at its finest. We’ve got the rest covered!
$25/day, billed on the first of each month Sept to June. $50 non-refundable registration.

Will there be an outdoor component?
Our preschool program runs 2 hours and 30 minutes each day, Tuesdays & Thursdays.
With the planned Kindermusik curricula, crafts, movement activities, snacks & cleanup/washroom, the morning will fly by! We do not have a dedicated outdoor space, but will definitely make some fresh air and outdoor fun part of our program, weather permitting.
Are there taxes on Preschool @Joyful Sounds?
Yes – Kindermusik classes are taxable by Revenue Canada, so the preschool class will have HST ($25/day + tax)
Can I get a childcare receipt?
We are not a childcare centre. We are a private business offering many different music & movement programs, including our new Preschool @Joyful Sounds program.
We do report all revenue for Corporate Tax purposes, and you can of course share your receipts from any programs paid at Joyful Sounds Music Studio with your accountant to use where possible for tax reporting purposes.
How many children are you taking and what age range?
We are taking a maximum of 10 children for this program. Children ages 3-5 are welcome to register.
All children MUST be potty trained to be registered.
What happens if there is weather closure or a holiday on preschool days?
Preschool class is charged on the 1st of the month for the days to come (example Sept 1st charge will be for the month of September). Total possible days will be tallied and charged. Holidays will not be charged, but are not likely on Tues/Thurs.
For any day where the studio closes due to weather, the preschool class will have a shorter virtual session that day (approximately 35-45 minutes) and families will also have the opportunity to book a Kindermusik class makeup of the appropriate level (Levels 3 and 4). Makeups are provided on a first come, first serve basis through our online system, but can be booked anytime throughout the year.
